A Petrifying Poem by Peter George (Explosion Entertainments)

5 October 2007

The moon was bright On that dark
coldly night When I discovered a figure so dark
Moving in front of me gruesome and stark
Just in my line of sight.

I could not make it out at first
As I was so fearful I was dying of thirst
It looked like my friend Ade
So I should not really be afraid
I did not want to rain on his parade

He is always telling me to expect the unexpected
So I was calm and cool and ever so collected
Yes it was Dr M in the distance
He walked forward and in an instance
Threw off his cloak in an act of assistance

It turned out grim, because it was not him
It was the Bogey man that we all fear within
The cloak covered my head
I thought this is it I am dead
It turned out to be that man from right said Fred

This Halloween tale proves one thing
Never trust what you see as a human being
Especially at a MICE meeting on Halloween evening
Because masquerading in the shadows
It’s Adrian – yes seeing, is believing
