Flirt Your Way to Corporate Success

As we all know Events and Event Management are based on personal relationships. The Eyes Have It
You already know - the eyes have it!  You can't get very far in business today unless you use your eyes, something I am sure you were taught as a child - look right and then left again but here we are talking about interacting with your eyes.

Just by looking
Did you know that just by looking into the left eye of the person you are communicating with you will have a more receptive listener? Try it now. Talk to someone, anyone, and just look them in the left eye as you do this. Now you know that you can be more comfortable and more successful by using this small tip which will stand you in good stead, no matter if it is business or pleasure!

Questions
How much tidying up of your Christmas events have you got to do, and how many people have you got to talk to make things happen? If possible, arrange to meet them personally and then look into in their left eye. You will find this is easier for them and for you too, as you do not look as though you are staring and it is therefore much more relaxing. The left side of a person is the receiving side, while the right is the giving side.  Indeed, that is why you proffer your right hand when you go to shake anothers hand.  This may sound like new fangled tactics but it is actually old established behaviour that can be traced back hundreds of years.

Increase your Influencing Skills
This technique cuts across most cultures too, so there is a 90% chance that you will increase your influencing skills by this one move alone.

Let us say you want someone to do something for you immediately (something I am sure never happens in this industry!) Be calm, look them in the left eye and request rather than demand, you will be completely amazed at the results. There is more to add to this technique but it makes sense to practice this until you are comfortable. Next month, when you have completed your Christmas event planning, we will look at how you can enjoy it too!

The eyes really do have it, so keep them bright and open, not red and closed...
