Did you know that CompeteFor is the chosen online resource of London 2012 for the publication of all Games-related contract opportunities? CompeteFor is working in collaboration with the London Business Network to help London businesses access Olympic business opportunities. So read on to discover how you can make the most of these great resources.
The London Business Network is a business organisation that helps small and medium enterprises take advantage of supply chain opportunities as well as the wider economic benefits arising from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Collaboration
The organisation was formed through the collaboration of three London-based business organisations: London First, the London Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of British Industry London; and supported by the London Development Agency. It is the principle organisation that London 2012 will work with to engage the London business community.
Focus
The London Business Network’s focus is to work with the capital’s business community to access procurement opportunities through the CompeteFor online resource. It will also act as a channel to the wider economic benefits and commercial opportunities for companies who may not be bidding for contracts directly relating to the Games, but who are interested in making the most of the events to grow their business. This includes information dissemination, knowledge and skills exchange, and business development.
CompeteFor
CompeteFor is an online resource that gives the business community unique access to London 2012 Games-related business opportunities. It acts as a brokerage service between buyers and potential suppliers throughout the London 2012 supply chain, encouraging equality of opportunity and providing Games-related business information.
CompeteFor also provides access to support services, building skills and capacity to ensure that businesses across the UK can access opportunities linked to the hosting of the London 2012 Games. In London CompeteFor is working with Business Link London to provide these services.
CompeteFor is the chosen site of London 2012 for the publication of all Games-related contract opportunities. It has been developed on behalf of the English Regional Development Agencies and UK Devolved Administrations by the London Development Agency, working closely with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).
