Sales Manager for London Events Company £24K + commission = OTE £35K

Job Description
Join the events team pitching for, and winning, new business. You will work with an established client base, as well as bringing in new companies, working to deliver highly tailored events. You will play a major role at all points in the client lifecycle, from dealing with initial enquiries, to writing proposals, to ensuring the successful execution of the event on the day.

Main Duties will be
· Manage and enhance relationships with both new and existing clients in order to generate business from conferences and meetings
· Attract  additional business from new clients by proactive means
· Research and contact potential new leads
· Create client interest through sales and marketing initiatives
· Site Visits and Showrounds
· Produce promotional material updating existing clients on new venues and recent events that have taken place
· Ensure all new marketing material reaches clients and target related follow-ups are done
· Research and maintain contacts with industry bodies, including being a representative at industry functions and exhibitions

Required Experience and Desirable Attributes
· At least 2 years experience in a similar role
· Knowledge of the conference market and normal client requirements Understanding of basic conference terminology

· Ability to demonstrate initiative
· Smart, well presented
· Enthusiastic go-getter
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Team Player
· Experience in managing events would be an advantage
