Meet The Team (or the big cheeses)

Our small team brings a wide range of experience to LondonMICE and is passionate about promoting London as the world’s premier destination. All members of the team live and work in London South Central and therefore have an unrivalled knowledge of the area and its varied attractions.

Moira Taylor
Moira has been our General Manger since April 2005 and has overall responsibility for business strategy, marketing & PR, finance and growth of LondonMICE. She obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Social Policy and Administration and an MSc in Event Management at Leeds Metropolitan University.   Moira brings a wealth of experience from the world of corporate and financial services where she held senior analyst and policy positions at The Chase Manhattan Bank and Standard & Poor’s. Following her MSc she provided strategic marketing consulting at First Protocol Event Management.  These positions have provided Moira with the breadth of experience in event production, business analysis & strategic marketing that is needed to run our dynamic and wide ranging organisation. Moira’s personal interests include; travel, dancing, and fitness, and she is considered by all of us (except perhaps her) to be the style guru of LondonMICE. Jerry Burke 
Jerry is one of our new Marketing, Sales & Business Coordinators and is involved in the day to day running of LondonMICE. He has responsibility for building up and maintaining the membership, increasing sales, website administration, organising networking events and finding creative marketing solutions. Previously contracted as a Communications Officer at People 1st, a Sector Skills Council, Jerry brings valuable client awareness and adaptability to members and non-members alike. Having also earned a BA (Hons) degree in English and Drama at Kingston University, he has developed his creative, presentation and communication skills. In addition, he is a member of the professional acting body Equity; he’s also a published poet who has won college chess tournaments. His hobbies include writing wonderful radio plays, grueling gym workouts and inspiring self-improvement courses, such as Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Hugh Johnson
Hugh works along side Jerry to form the second half of the Business Coordinator and Marketing/Sales duo. Helping to build up membership, organising networking events and looking for new and innovative ways to market both LondonMICE and its members to the world keeps him on his toes around the office. Hailing from the leafy outskirts of the city, Hugh joins LondonMICE after working in communications and events in such exotic locations as the Canary Islands and South Wales. He lists ferreteering, surfing and bad drunken breakdancing among his top interests. Robin Russell-Pavier
Robin is responsible for much of our written communications encompassing copy for the website, newsletters and promotional material and works for LondonMICE on a freelance basis. With a background in the media, he has been fortunate to work with a diverse range of industries including event management, travel, tourism, charities and local government. He was also closely involved with the initial set up and launch of LondonMICE from its inception in 2004 until handing over the reigns to Moira in 2005. Robin’s personal interests include literature, gardening, travel, cookery and can often be found exploring the open spaces of South London with his dog by his side. Dr. M
Is he a bird? (no, but he likes them!)…Is he a plane? (nope again, but he owns one!!)…No, he's just simply "Dr. M" LondonMICE’s - and the Solar System’s - most infamous and medically eccentric events doctor. You can catch his oh-so-important column in LondonMICE’s monthly newsletter. Dr. M is the events hedonist answer to the Essex boy but with more "Harrow School" than "Romford Market." Plus, he has a designer icon wardrobe of clothes, characters, cars and boyz gadgets that would make most people freak out!! He's just "relentless and insatiable!!" Dr. M’s action-man activities include writing the adventures of Vlad (another alter-ego), running Masquerade, setting up his doppelganger Adrian Silas and just plain being a unique mischievous, flirty make-up wearing hazard. He's a truly designer stubbled, vodka-guru to Nurse Moira and a whole host of event and networking fans so……"Expect the Unexpected!" The newest addition to the team from August will be Dr. M's arch-rival, the International femme-fatale, agony aunt to the Monte Carlo "Divas," Simone d'Affaire………watch this space and prepare to see the editorial and columnist "gender battle" start as Simone and Dr. M start a "tete-a-tete" at LondonMICE.
