Proactive Event Sales Manager - £24,000 per annum

This key role requires a passionate proactive Sales Manager who cares for the customers and believes in delivering high standards of service.

This role will suit a dynamic individual, keen to progress in a fast moving hospitality environment. You may be an existing manager looking for a change or a Sales Manager ready for that next step in your career.

Job Description

  • To maximise all event revenue opportunities in 4 units through pro-active selling and commercial management techniques
  • To manage the conversion of customer enquiries into confirmed sales to develop future and repeat business contributing to the profitability of the units
  • Proactive sales based on 3 days a week outside of the office and 2 days in the office
  • To work with the internal events coordinator helping to convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales, in developing future and repeat business and in achieving the business objectives
  • To drive sales activities and develop successful working relationship with the hotel sales team and Operational teams to drive business
  • To manage the relationship and business processes between Events Sales through the event coordinator and all other operations departments
  • Developing and implementing department changes and initiatives to meet business needs
  • Ensure all enquiries are dealt with promptly, in line with company standards by Managing the event coordinator
  • To sell the conference and banqueting space to maximise yield 
  • To ensure that the events coordinator provides conference and banqueting, food and beverage and rooms division have full and accurate information to meet the customer’s needs 
  • To assist the events coordinator to conduct site inspections and familiarisation trips when required
