Working within London’s thriving Bankside area, this job will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work for one of London’s up and coming museums.
The Clink Museum is looking for an individual who has experience within the museum industry and is able to hit the ground running. Applicants for this role have to be willing to be flexible in the way they work to include areas such as H.R., Marketing, Preservation and Operations.
The Museum Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the museum whilst also aiding the development of the business. Individuals have to be able and willing to monitor cost and streamline operations aiding for growth and development of the business.
The Museum Manager will also hold the responsibility to supervise the Events Manager, ensuring that duties are completed appropriately and accurately.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful completion and application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a grant in the region of £1.5m. The individual will be able to truly measure the success of their project as they see the museum grow and develop which will include new outreach projects, education programs and a fully refurbished museum site.
The role of Museum Manager is very varied and is a truly key role for the museum and company. Flexibility is important as very little onsite falls out of your responsibility from cleaning toilets if necessary to attending prestige events on behalf of The Clink.
