Head Chef for City Caterer £30K + great benefits

A high profile city firm requires a new Head Chef to lead its kichen team. This is a great role, Monday - Friday, daytimes only!
You will lead a team of 8 chefs producing food for corporate hospiality functions and lunches for upto 1500 covers. The lay out of the building requires someone with strong planning abilities, but also who can adapt to problems and quickly come up with solutions. Although the kitchen serves a large number of people there is a strong emphasis on quality food; you should be passionate about delivering the highest standards and  using good fresh ingredients.
This would be an ideal position for someone looking to move from a busy London Events company to a position with regular, social hours. You will be working with a very successful caterer - if you are successful in this role you will have excellent career development opportunities made available to you.

The role will include:
• Menu creation, recipes and costings.
• Stock checking, ordering and dealing with suppliers.
• The complete overseeing of kitchen operations and staff.
• Ensuring all food produced is of the required standard.
• Monitoring compliance with HACCAP and COSSH regulations.
• Managing and maintaing Health and Safety Standards and Practices.

Qualifications and experience
GNVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
Experience in Health and Safety
Prior experience in corporate / contract catering would be an advantage
